Regeneration Project

The project got under way towards the end of 2007 and will probably run for a few years.

The first stage concerns the construction of a new bridge which is intended to form the "missing link" to create a ring road all round the town centre.

Stage 2 will concern the partial demolition of the shops around Lord Square and the creation of a new market hall and mall.
